Your responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing data to generate insights about our customers, products, and recommendation techniques.
2. Developing new data products from conception to deployment to optimize recommendation systems.
3. Transforming high-level requirements into solvable problem statements.
4. Collaborating with Senior Data Scientists, Product Specialists, and UX teams to understand business needs.
5. Working with Data Engineers and MLOps teams to deploy models.
6. Scaling algorithms to provide value across multiple countries and brands.
7. Defining data needs to improve existing algorithms.
8. Handling structured and semi-structured data from various sources like BigQuery and PostgreSQL.
9. Contributing to a fast-paced global tech organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience applying Machine Learning and Statistics to real-world datasets.
• Proficiency in modeling business problems with machine learning, including feature engineering, model selection, evaluation, and optimization.
• Ability to write maintainable, best-practice code in Python, with experience using numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
• Experience deploying models to production and gathering customer feedback.
• Strong understanding of translating business problems into data science solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with offline evaluation and monitoring of recommendation systems.
• Experience deploying complex models in production environments, following MLOps practices.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning and NLP techniques.
• Experience working with containers and infrastructure tools like Kubernetes.
