Your focus will be on teaching and practical work in microcomputer technology, real-time systems, intelligent sensor technology, and embedded AI systems prototyping. You will hold scientific responsibility for these areas, oversee teaching and student supervision, and collaborate with industry to ensure practical training. You will also develop teaching content and supervise laboratory practicals in these fields. Participation in academic self-administration and willingness to undertake additional teaching tasks are expected.
We seek a candidate capable of representing the field in teaching and applied research in German and English, with practical project experience. A university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field is required. Sound knowledge in applied computer science, hardware-related programming, and software development for embedded and real-time systems is essential. Knowledge of safety-critical applications, sensor tech, microcontroller architectures, and modern software processes is desirable. Fluency in German and English is mandatory, with the ability to teach in both languages.
The standard weekly teaching obligation for professors at universities of applied sciences is 18 hours. The position is suitable for severely disabled persons, who will be given preference if qualified. Applications from women are encouraged to increase gender diversity. Applicants under 52 may be appointed as civil servants. For foreign degrees, a ZAB certificate evaluation is required during recruitment.
