The role

The Berlin office of the Financial Times is looking for an Editorial Assistant to start from November 1 2025.

We are looking for an initiative-driven and collegial colleague to assist the three Berlin correspondents in editorial tasks - from researching topics to arranging interviews and reporting trips to identifying new relevant contacts or themes.

The role also involves overseeing expense reporting and general office tasks such as purchases of office supplies. The person will also assist the four Moscow FT correspondents who have also been based in the Federal Press Conference building.

Prerequisites for this role are a keen interest in journalism and news developments in Germany good written and spoken English the ability to multitask and work under pressure and the ability to work in a team with colleagues in London and Frankfurt.
