Job Description:

Our partner is a leading company in the field of seat development and production for the aviation and automotive industries. They develop innovative, ergonomic, and high-quality seating solutions used worldwide. Become part of a team that continuously works on new concepts and significantly contributes to the future of mobility. We are looking for a Design Engineer (m/f/d) Textile in Schwäbisch Hall.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating specifications for seat covers, foam parts, and other sewing groups
• Developing and implementing concepts considering quality, functionality, ergonomics, cost, and weight
• Participating in the optimization and new development of components, including documentation and drawing support in CATIA V5
• Maintaining parts lists in the PLM system (Siemens Teamcenter)
• Collaborating with international and national suppliers to identify sources
• Developing prototypes from design to series production
• Cooperating in interdisciplinary project teams and providing technical consultation
• Organizing and coordinating component-specific tests
• Managing external development suppliers and work packages

Your profile:

• Degree in textile, clothing technology, textile management, or a comparable qualification
• Knowledge of pattern making and industrial textile processing
• Experience in aircraft seats, vehicle seats, or aircraft cabins is preferred
• Proficiency in CAD 3D systems, preferably CATIA V5, and experience with PLM systems is advantageous
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Independent, responsible, and precise work ethic with excellent communication skills
