Professorship for learning analytics is hiring a data scientist (m/w/d)

Position: Part-time scientific assistant (up to 0.5 workload) at the School of Social Science and Technology, Technical University of Munich, starting September.

Your responsibilities:

Participate in the research group's activities focusing on social learning, relationship formation in technology-augmented environments, complex systems analysis of learning, and educational technology for lifelong learning. Your main tasks will involve data analysis, with opportunities to engage in other research cycle aspects. This position is suitable for a data science professional seeking part-time work to develop real-world skills while balancing other commitments. It is ideal for candidates with the necessary qualifications but limited experience, eager to build expertise through practical projects.

Minimum qualifications:

• Master’s degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, or similar fields. Candidates with degrees in neuroscience, cognitive science, or related disciplines with strong quantitative skills will also be considered.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R programming.
• Solid knowledge of data science.
