Position: Satellite System Engineer - OPS IT Specialist (m/f/d)
Location: Bremen

Join OHB for exciting space projects. We are seeking an engineer to develop the IT infrastructure (hardware and software) needed to efficiently operate our satellites. Are you interested in space technology?

Your Responsibilities
  1. Specify hardware requirements for our software and long-term operations.
  2. Support development of software related to satellite spacecraft, including command, monitoring, data storage, and processing.
  3. Produce and validate flight procedures with satellites or simulators.
  4. Support launch campaigns and early operations.
  5. Participate in project and mission reviews, test campaigns, and documentation.
Your Qualifications
  1. Background in IT Engineering, other engineering disciplines, or sciences.
  2. Experience with Windows (DOS command line) and Linux (Bash or similar).
  3. Knowledge of RTEMS is an asset.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Groovy, or similar.
  5. Knowledge of virtualization tools like VirtualBox, VMWare, or similar.
  6. Experience with containerization (Docker or similar).
  7. Knowledge of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
  8. Experience with data gathering, aggregation, big data, and time series.
  9. Excellent English communication skills; German is advantageous.
  10. Willingness to work as part of an international team and learn about spacecraft operations.
