Shape the digital future of ZEISS in the Global Algorithms & Software Semiconductor Mask Solutions team! Your sophisticated algorithms evaluate enormous amounts of image data efficiently, enabling the performance of complex photomask systems crucial for defect-free microchip manufacturing.

Your Role

Our measurement systems for semiconductor lithography demand extreme measurement performance, primarily achieved through high-level optical components. Overcoming manufacturing tolerances to push accuracy limits using algorithms is your challenge at ZEISS.

You will design and implement highly accurate mathematical-optical models and their numerical solutions within expert teams. Your responsibilities include conceptual design, implementation, and performance evaluation, focusing on product maturity and value-adding algorithms. You will expand your network within the company and collaborate with research partners.

Your innovative mindset keeps you updated with the latest technical developments and publications, fostering excellence in your work.

Your Profile
  • Excellent practical programming experience with Scientific Python, and possibly C++, including parallel computing (CUDA, Cloud)
  • Proven software architecture skills and contributions to open-source projects
  • Extensive experience in implementing numerical simulation methods and optimization techniques for forward and inverse problems
  • Strong knowledge of classical image processing, machine learning, and physical/methodological understanding of geometric and physical optics
  • Degree in physics, computer science, engineering, or applied mathematics
