Legal Counsel Europe – Jurist - Wirtschaftsjurist (m/w/d) - Justiziar - Commercial Law, LL.M. (Wirtschaftsjurist/in)

We are looking for experienced Legal Counsel to join our team in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

• You will represent the Legal function, advise Business Leaders with a primary focus on European activities, and liaise with Fruit of the Loom in-house counsel in Bowling Green, KY.
• Lead or assist with, as required, international legal activities within European countries, including those related to corporate governance, trade law questions, third-party due diligence, intellectual property, data protection and privacy (GDPR), sustainability, investigations, etc., collaborating with business representatives from different locations.
• Draft, review and negotiate numerous and diverse legal agreements, including distribution agreements, trademark licenses, service agreements, real estate leases, and other agreements as may be required by the business.
• Liaise with the Corporate Legal team in the U.S.
• Protect the Company by ensuring adherence to domestic and international laws and regulations governing ethics and compliance.
• Manage outside Legal Counsel where required.
• Support any type of litigation.

• We are looking for someone who can prioritize independently, enjoys a challenge, and who works well across cultures and geographies.
• Qualified to degree level, Law Degree, Jura: Wirtschaftsjurist (m/w/d), Juristisches erstes oder zweites Staatsexamen, LL.M., Diplom or similar.
• Specialization in some of these areas is preferred: Deutsches und Internationales Wirtschaftsrecht (European Countries), Handelsrecht, Markenrecht, GDPR (DSGVO), Commercial Law, International Trade Law, Corporate Governance etc.
• Experience across several European jurisdictions is required.
• Self-organized with good sense of priorities as you will be working independently.
• Well-rounded personality with sound judgement and high ethical standards.
• Proficient in English language (oral and written) and/or German language.
• Infrequent travel.
