As the experts in digestive and metabolic medicine and as a family-owned business with a global presence, we focus on developing and marketing innovative medicines to treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders like inflammatory bowel disease or eosinophilic esophagitis as well as hepatobiliary disorders such as primary biliary cholangitis. Our aim: to meaningfully improve therapeutic practice as well as patient health and well-being. We firmly believe that medical progress can only be achieved by working together. That is why we are looking for:

  • Support clinical research, external science, and innovation decision-making through robust commercial assessments
  • Act as the commercial counterpart to the Scientific New Products Team in all pre-commercial new asset processes
  • Co-lead the prelaunch preparation phase for selected assets transitioning into commercialization
  • Drive the development of early commercial strategies for selected assets and support global opportunity maximization for Dr. Falk
  • Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration with Global Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Clinical Development, and External Innovation
  • Support the Business Development and Partnering team in commercial out-licensing activities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Screen and assess business opportunities from a holistic commercial perspective
  • Evaluate commercial potential, develop business cases, and provide strategic input into go/no-go decisions in cooperation with selected functions
  • Lead the definition of commercial strategy for selected pre-commercial assets
  • Develop early go-to-market strategies aligned with stakeholder expectations and commercial goals
  • Contribute commercial insights into product profiles, lifecycle planning, and early clinical development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integrated and actionable commercial input
  • Prepare and present commercial recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees
  • 6+ years of experience in Marketing, New Products, Business Development, or related commercial roles in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability, and business case development skills
  • Demonstrated experience in early asset shaping and/or go-to-market planning
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
  • Knowledge or experience in Gastroenterology/Hepatology is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; comfort presenting to senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or medical field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Fluency in English required; German or another European language is beneficial
