About BE-Power

For our BE-Power division, a company of Exide Technologies located in Fernwald, we are seeking a Field Sales Engineer (m/f/x). BE-Power specializes in high-power and high-voltage battery solutions, primarily using Li-ion chemistry, serving industries such as healthcare, rail, security lighting, and logistics. Since 2004, BE-Power has been developing and manufacturing Li-ion systems in Germany, with batteries highly customized to customer needs. The role is based in Fernwald, near Gießen, and involves engaging with clients in the catchment area around Frankfurt am Main, Hanau, Gelnhausen, Gießen, and Aschaffenburg.

Responsibilities
  1. Active customer acquisition through field and office sales
  2. Design-in activities, project management, and technical customer support
  3. Maintaining and developing customer contacts
  4. Preparing and following up on quotations
  5. Calculating and post-calculating project costs
  6. Preparing activity reports
  7. Gathering strategic market information
  8. Participating in trade fairs
  9. Collaborating to improve quality in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
Requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering; a degree or comparable training is preferred
  • Commercial knowledge
  • Experience in technical sales, especially explaining complex products, is advantageous
  • Team player willing to work across different company areas
  • Willingness to travel, including inter-regionally
  • Proficiency in English and very good German skills (spoken and written)
