Jobbeschreibung

Goal of the function: The Extrusion Engineer (m/f/d) plays a key role in defining global standards for extrusion technologies, driving quality improvements and cost efficiencies through strategic financial analysis and planning. They also lead or support global initiatives to harmonize and optimize preventive maintenance programs for extrusion equipment and processes.

Your responsibilities:

1. Define and support with data the standards for extrusion processes and equipment.
2. Define and update FAT and SAT criteria and protocols for extrusion equipment.
3. Create standard user requirement specifications related to extrusion lines.
4. Conduct research, studies, and provide new technical solutions regarding extrusion processes.
5. Propose budgets & CAPEX requests and manage projects accordingly.
6. Support in solving extrusion production issues by involving the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
7. Drive evaluations of new technologies or solutions to improve quality and reduce costs of extrusion production.

Your profile:

1. Bachelor's degree in Science, preferably in Industrial Engineering.
2. Fluent in English and one additional language (Italian, German, French, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish, Serbian).
3. Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in extrusion processes.
4. Project management experience.
5. Experience with plastic extrusion processes and equipment, especially within medical device manufacturing, with a focus on GMP compliance.
6. Knowledge of basic lean manufacturing tools.
7. Experience with Siemens PLCs, motion control, PLC programming, pneumatic automation, and electrical drawings is desirable.
