Commercial Manager – Ammonia (m/f/d), Hamburg

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager for Ammonia to join our team in Hamburg. This role involves analyzing the low and zero carbon ammonia market potential in Germany and neighboring regions, identifying marketing opportunities, and building our customer base for Ammonia as a hydrogen carrier for sustainable fuels.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct ammonia market analysis and segmentation to understand volume needs and price sensitivities across different sectors.
  2. Develop route-to-market strategies for each identified segment.
  3. Identify and develop relationships with existing and potential customers interested in sustainable Ammonia.
  4. Promote Mabanaft’s products and services tailored to customer needs.
  5. Lead commercial negotiations in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
  6. Coordinate closely with the Ammonia and Hydrogen teams and other commercial functions.
  7. Participate in industry events, networking, and business meetings with prospective clients.
Qualifications:
  1. At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or relevant commercial roles, preferably in energy or petrochemicals markets.
  2. Proven experience in developing new markets, managing demanding industrial customers, and project management.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and German.
  4. Highly energetic, innovative, and capable of inspiring teams and clients.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to travel.
