We are looking for a Senior System Engineer (m/f/d) based in Trier, Vienna, Bordeaux (with a 60% remote work option).

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, install, and manage system landscapes for the ORBIS software across all lifecycle phases, including development, integration, testing, and release.
  2. Perform operational tasks such as software updates, upgrades, system health monitoring, and environment decommissioning.
  3. Monitor infrastructure, analyze log files, troubleshoot update-related issues, and ensure system availability and quality of software deliveries.
  4. Support and collaborate with internal stakeholders like developers, testers, and QA teams.
  5. Automate workflows and optimize processes in cooperation with the tooling development team.
  6. Onboard new software into test environments, working closely with product owners and development teams.
Qualifications:
  • A university degree in IT or a related field, or several years of experience in IT or software administration.
  • Strong technical skills in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) and technologies like Linux, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Additional expertise in Python, Go, Groovy, Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Terraform, or ORBIS operations is a plus.
  • Talent for workflow automation, process optimization, and understanding complex system dependencies.
  • High standards for quality, excellent organizational skills, and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in English with effective communication skills.
