Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND proven technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND demonstrable technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Cybersecurity
  • Experience in Public and/or Life Science Sector
  • Proven experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect, Security certifications)
  • Fluency in German

Responsibilities

As a Security Technical Specialist, your primary goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our security solutions including Microsoft M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and SSE.

You will work within a virtual team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to educate customers, demonstrate solutions, and secure technical decisions, helping the team exceed security sales targets. You will maintain and develop deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft security solutions, architectures, programs, and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scale Customer Engagements: Lead and ensure technical wins for Microsoft Security; proactively engage with customers; build credibility as a trusted advisor; utilize customer references.
  • Scale Through Partners: Support partner sell-with scenarios and enhance partner technical capacity.
  • Build Strategy: Contribute to security strategy development, shape win plans, and tailor messaging for security opportunities. Develop strategies for security solutions like XDR, zero trust, and cloud security.
  • Solution Design & Proof: Demonstrate and oversee solution demonstrations; prove capabilities; support customer digital transformation; align technology with security needs.
  • Education: Develop personal expertise in security domains; mentor others; increase team understanding of security solutions and opportunities.
