Job Description

The Sales Engineer will execute all aspects of sales demonstrations—onsite, at conferences (subject to local restrictions), or virtually—to articulate the Assent value proposition compellingly. You will leverage your experience with SaaS products and Assent’s product training to answer queries regarding our industry-leading SaaS product.

Create and perform impactful customer and prospect demonstrations (virtual and in-person) and develop materials to facilitate sales.

Collaborate with Account Executives to guide customers through product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs.

Identify custom technical requirements and coordinate with the Product team as necessary.

Support Account Executives with technical sections of RFP/RFI and vendor assessments.

Attend trade shows, conferences, and marketing events on behalf of Sales.

Work closely with prospects during the sales cycle, supporting platform evaluations and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

Assist in developing the Statement of Work (SOW) for sales opportunities.

Participate in elaboration and review of specifications for new integrations and features, including third-party systems like ERPs/PLMs.

Qualifications

3+ years of proven experience demonstrating technical product features to diverse audiences, ideally with enterprise clients.

Ability to adapt messaging to influence product sales across target audiences.

Strong skills in translating customer needs into technical requirements for Product Teams.

Ability to create impactful presentations and guide conversations that drive purchasing decisions.

Technical background in software, preferably SaaS, with understanding of integrations, connectors, and APIs.

Knowledge of manufacturing industry and compliance standards is advantageous.

Willingness and ability to travel.

Fluent in English and German.
