We’re seeking an efficient ICQA Operations Manager to take ownership of our fulfillment center Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA). Our fulfillment centers are at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing operations network, managing fast-moving inventory. In each center, teams handle deliveries, pick products, package, and ship, contributing to our success.

These centers are fast-paced environments where adherence to policies is key. We need the right leader to ensure reliable delivery to customers and uphold our customer obsession.

Key job responsibilities

Your Role And Responsibilities In The ICQA Team

  1. Support safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
  2. Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts according to network strategies, ensuring compliance with SOX.
  3. Measure quality, inventory integrity, and accuracy; provide proactive feedback to management.
  4. Review and analyze customer complaints and defect data; develop action plans to reduce incidents.
  5. Identify root causes of inventory deviations through cause and effect analysis.
  6. Lead network-wide quality initiatives focused on fulfillment and operations.
  7. Engage in strategic planning and forecasting; assign and direct work.
  8. Lead and supervise a team of area managers and hourly associates in Inventory Control/Quality Assurance.
  9. Manage Area Managers in ICQA functions and drive team performance.
  10. Drive process improvements, motivate team members, and reduce employee turnover.

Your role within your FC and operations includes:

  1. Gain expertise in key process paths and exception handling; ensure process discipline across shifts.
  2. Review KPIs regularly and perform control and quality analysis impacting inventory integrity.
  3. Collaborate with department managers on projects, initiatives, and system enhancements.
  4. Work with Loss Prevention teams to establish and adhere to policies.
  5. Coordinate with Operations Managers and General Managers on policy communication.
  6. Support in interviewing and hiring new managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree.
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in English and German (verbal and written).
  • Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence decisions.
  • Experience in production and supply chain areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  • Experience in a similar logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Ability to take initiative, multitask, and prioritize.
  • Background in logistics and inventory management.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
