What you'll do

We are looking for an experienced, team-oriented, creative, innovative, and results-driven (Senior) Software Developer (f/m/d), who acts as a technical leader for agile engineering practices and is enthusiastic to contribute to SAP's sustainability portfolio.

As a (Senior) Software Developer (f/m/d) within the SAP Sustainability Integration Development team you will:

• Be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing complete, very complex end-to-end software parts for the integration of SAP S/4HANA with Sustainability solutions.
• Actively contribute to the whole product lifecycle (Backlog definition, software specification, software design, implementation, quality assurance, delivery, and maintenance).
• Work in an agile development environment which requires being self-driven, taking decisions independently, and being very flexible.
• Identify problems within the current architecture, create a plan, and lead the delivery of the technical changes needed to solve them.
• Multiply software engineering best practices across development teams.
• Mentor other software developers and help them to improve their technical skills.
• Align with other teams and agree on interfaces for the integration and gain knowledge about other technologies.

What you bring

• University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge in software design patterns and software engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work result-focused in an agile development environment.
• Ability to easily acquire a deep understanding of new areas and technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in Business English and German is a plus.
• Good experience with RDBMS and SQL.
• Multiple years of software development experience.
