Job Opportunity: Lead Project Manager for NAS Battery Supply Chain

The implications of climate change for our future and the necessary actions are obvious. Among the crucial measures, the transition to large-scale clean energy stands out. The global demand for power from renewable sources like wind and solar is on the rise. Stationary energy storage emerges as a key technology, ensuring a reliable power supply despite the intermittent nature of these sources by storing excess energy and discharging it during peak demand.

This role offers you the opportunity to contribute actively to sustainable solutions and to establish large-scale production capacities for NAS batteries—a cutting-edge technology ideal for long-duration stationary energy storage with superior features.

What You Can Expect

As Lead Project Manager, you will establish and oversee the global supply chain projects for NAS battery factories. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing daily project operations, including prioritization, timeline planning, task monitoring, stakeholder coordination, data exchange, and resolving critical issues.
  2. Coordinating and facilitating the Supplier Development and Engineering Decision Board and Steering Committees.
  3. Collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional global partners on supplier management, task forces, and critical topics.
  4. Managing, structuring, and organizing project data and tasks, while driving digital transformation and modernization of project management and supplier development tools and methods.
  5. Establishing, monitoring, and optimizing reporting systems, including the Supplier Development Dashboard, aligned with project goals and KPIs.
  6. Standardizing and optimizing supplier development processes such as assessments, sourcing, and control.
  7. Ensuring compliance with business practices, regulations, and QEHS standards.
What You Offer
  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or business administration.
  • Relevant work experience in project management, supplier management, or procurement within automotive manufacturing, battery manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Deep knowledge of project management, supplier management, sourcing, product launch, and industrialization processes.
  • Proven ability to deliver tangible and sustainable results in a target-oriented manner.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a passion for contributing to sustainable solutions to mitigate climate change.
What We Offer
  • Opportunities for involvement in future plant development or investment projects after initial project completion.
  • Networking opportunities such as 'Women in Business' for idea development and implementation.
  • Mentoring and learning programs for professional and personal growth.
  • Career development paths, including job rotation within the company.
  • Support services such as childcare, fitness and health facilities, and medical care.
  • Benefits like the Deutschlandticket and job bike schemes.
