Job Description:
As the Head of Vehicle Energy (m/f/d) for Innovation in the e-mobility division, you will accelerate and enable the transition to electrification by providing innovative solutions for battery electronics, power net components, DCDC, and OBC (Onboard Charger) from a system and architecture perspective.
Your responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and implement product concepts for next-generation battery electronics and power net components, including BMS, DCDC, and OBC.
- Guide the division and global Vehicle Technology (VT) teams towards positioning and value creation for next-generation products, from system design to pilot demonstration.
- Lead projects for technology development within interdisciplinary and intercultural teams, in close alignment with product lines and global engineering teams.
- Collaborate within the VT organization and globally with OEMs, research institutes, start-ups, and engineering companies for scouting and evaluation.
- Develop KPIs aimed at reaching the optimal system configuration for Vehicle Energy components.
- Possess an academic degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Have long-term work experience, ideally within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to gain organizational buy-in and have advanced project management experience.
- Have international and intercultural experience.
- Be business-fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
- Exhibit insatiable curiosity, eagerness to learn, and pioneering spirit in the field of electrification, with persistence in overcoming obstacles.
- Possess a passion for electrification and driving results.
- Be capable of collaborating internally and externally, and driving global partnerships with customers, suppliers, and universities.
