We are looking to strengthen our team in Altenholz, Bremen, Halle (Saale), Hamburg, Magdeburg, Potsdam, Rostock as:

Database Administrator (PostgreSQL)

• Operation and management of PostgreSQL databases in production, testing, and development environments
• Performing backups and planning disaster recovery strategies
• Ensuring database security (encryption, permissions, auditing)
• Capacity planning and monitoring to ensure stable operation
• Automating administrative tasks and maintaining documentation
• Collaborating with developers to optimize database applications

Requirements:

• Training as an IT specialist, computer science studies, or equivalent knowledge
• Several years of experience in PostgreSQL administration under SuSE Linux Enterprise
• Knowledge in scripting, automation, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies and error analysis
• Experience in operating large PostgreSQL installations
• Analytical thinking, structured and solution-oriented work style
• Team orientation and independent, proactive working
