For our International Cooperation department in Hamburg, we are seeking a:
Head of the Finance, Processes, Systems and Compliance Unit (m/f/d)
- Unlimited / Full-time (39 hours/week) / Starting as soon as possible
Your Tasks:
- Lead the Finance, Processes, Systems and Compliance Unit within the International Cooperation Division, overseeing financial management and the Controlling & Compliance teams.
- Provide goal-oriented, motivating, and value-based leadership and development for employees.
- Manage financial control of the portfolio budget, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and divisional budgets in collaboration with divisional management.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of processes in financial administration, project management, and compliance.
- Create financial and compliance reports and dashboards.
- Manage project audits and ensure data quality through system development.
- Coordinate with finance, controlling, compliance, and IT departments of Plan International Germany, as well as with Global Hub, Regional Hub, and Country Office Finance Teams.
- Maintain an effective knowledge management system for financial, system, and process topics.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and manage divisional tasks related to financial statements.
- Participate in the management team of the International Cooperation Division.
Your Profile:
- Degree in Finance & Accounting, Controlling, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification.
- Minimum five years of professional experience in project and/or financial controlling; international cooperation experience is a plus.
- At least three years of leadership experience managing large and diverse teams.
- Experience in process digitization and optimization.
- Fluent in English; German and other languages are advantageous.
- Knowledge of IT-based project management systems (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics 365), proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), with data management and programming skills (e.g., SQL) being advantageous.
