Workday’s Delivery teams are driven by a passion for our products and the success of our customers in implementing our outstanding cloud solutions. We’re a diverse group of people with an invaluable mix of experiences and backgrounds located across multiple locations within the region. This role is focussed on Financials and Planning for Medium and Large enterprise markets within EMEA.

The successful Senior Project Manager will drive the client implementation and will be the owner of key project artefacts (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, risk and issue logs, etc.) and work with the client Project Manager to resolve issues to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and run deployments that are medium or high complexity with defined scope, schedule, and budget.
2. Produce and maintain high level project plans, detailed project plans, risk and issue logs, data conversion plans, cutover plans, regular project meeting content / presentations, and steering committee presentations.
3. Run project finances including budgets, forecasts, actuals, issuing invoices, and subsequent payment.
4. Lead and influence our internal project team and sponsors and the client project team and stakeholders with clear, concise, and timely communication.
5. Handle customer critical issues to full resolution.
6. Provide mentoring to other members of the team either as a senior or as ground breaker in new functionality or geographies on a feedback and share basis.
7. Be Certified by Workday and be an authority in the Workday Deployment Methodology and also provide Delivery Assurance services to Partner deployments to build a foundation of success in our extended ecosystem.

As a Workday Senior Engagement / Senior Project Manager your experience will include:

1. Success running the implementation of multi-country core Finance and HCM ERP suites.
2. A good understanding of business finance and HCM process flows.
3. A working understanding of the complexities of a multi-country Finance and HCM ERP model.
4. Working in Finance and HCM ERP or Transformation Consulting businesses in a client-facing role.
5. Handling client C-Suite collaborators, client Project Owners, and Consultants.
6. Certification as a Project Manager (Prince/PMP).
7. Experience of leading 3rd parties in a project.

About You

The role requires a blended mix of business skills, customer focus, and desire to support the Delivery team to secure their success.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Languages: English and either German or French.
2. 4-6+ years delivering enterprise business applications projects.
3. 3+ years experience in managing a delivery team in a company or in a consulting environment.
4. 2 end-to-end Finance ERP implementation software deployments including: Financials, Procurement, or Planning & Analytics.
5. 1 Multinational deployment.
6. Ability to travel up to 40-60%.

Other Qualifications:

1. Experience as Executive Sponsor on key projects.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Willingness to ‘roll up one’s sleeves’ and assist wherever needed.
4. Leadership abilities to empower and focus the organisation on team and individual objectives.
5. Contribute to the strategic direction of the Professional Services organisation through leading and participating on internal initiatives.
