ABOUT THE ROLE

The VP M&A is responsible for managing all acquisitions and divestitures within Essity globally. You will develop and drive the M&A strategy, collaborating closely with Business Units and reporting directly to the CFO. The role involves overseeing a company with EUR 13 billion in revenue and approximately 36,000 employees worldwide.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Propose M&A strategies based on thorough business evaluations
• Lead the M&A process, including negotiations
• Align M&A activities with corporate strategy by collaborating with senior management
• Oversee acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring standards and risk management
• Prepare key figures and reports for stakeholders, including the Board
• Lead and develop the M&A team
• Provide expert advice to other functions and management
• Identify opportunities and implement strategic initiatives

WHO YOU ARE

• Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, and modelling
• Ability to identify investment opportunities and assess risks
• Experience in developing and executing M&A strategies
• Skilled in negotiations and legal aspects of M&A
• Proactive, business-minded, and strategic thinker
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
• Ability to build relationships internally and externally

Position based in Stockholm, Sweden, or other major European Essity locations.
