We are a 100% independent, family-owned Luxembourg company with over 175 years' experience in the tobacco industry and brands expertise (FMC, FCT, accessories, vaping and new generation tobacco products).

Position Overview :

The “ Logistics Manager ” is responsible for all activities related to the reception and the shipment of the finished products. He / she is also in charge of the storage of the products and a correct handling of the goods in the warehouse.

Your main responsibilities :

• Coordinate all logistic activities (E.g. Coordinate the transport between the tobacco factories and the wholesalers in Lux.; Organize the transport planning + administrative tasks (invoice following, orders follow up,..); Organize the EU expeditions within EU (by sea, air or road)).
• Define the procedures and manage priorities (E.g. Formulate and implement appropriate procedures; Troubleshooting management when needed).
• Manage the warehouse activities ; Perfect handling within the warehouse; Manage the stock (E.g. coordinate the flow with the custom department; Strive for improvements and propose solutions if problems detected; Enforce and implement security procedures within department; Stay informed about the latest security rules and laws).
• Manage and develop the team (Communicate news, changes, results to the teams; motivate the team, give regular feedback…; set the priorities, the direction; meeting every 2 weeks with team (planning, present new products,…. ; Adapt the structure and the organization of the department when necessary)).
• Establish and control budget of the department (E.g. Propose and follow investment projects; Decide budgets; defends the main projects in front of the Board when necessary).
• Communicate regularly with other departments and contribute to the initiatives defined by the management team (E.g. Participate to strategic projects; Meeting with Sales, CSCLG; Make and propose improvements when necessary).
• Reception in logistics :
• Receive external drivers and give them instructions for loading and unloading.
• Receiving parcels and notifying staff by email so that they can collect them.

Your profile :

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant / similar position
• Language skills : German and English mandatory; French is an asset
• Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders within the science / regulatory / tobacco sector.
