We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to lead efforts in proactively identifying and mitigating security threats. Collaborate with our Platform and Data teams to safeguard our customers and organization.

At N26, our Infrastructure Security team aims to detect and remediate IT and cloud infrastructure security threats, providing efficient services that empower our tech teams.

Responsibilities include:

1. Driving the Cloud Infrastructure Security roadmap in coordination with product and engineering teams.
2. Owning and defining initiatives, solutions, and frameworks to enhance security within AWS infrastructure.
3. Designing and maintaining advanced cloud security solutions with threat detection and automated controls.
4. Conducting research to identify new attack vectors.
5. Leading Threat Modeling Sessions and assessing security threats.
6. Monitoring vulnerabilities and collaborating on risk mitigation.
7. Defining scope for penetration testing and scenarios.
8. Maintaining documentation to strengthen security posture.
9. Providing excellent stakeholder support via support portals.
10. Participating in security incident response on-call rotations and leading incident management.

Qualifications for success:

• Experience securing AWS environments, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Linux systems.
• Skills in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of security frameworks like STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP.
• Proficiency with security tools such as CSPM, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, and container security.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code, especially Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with cloud components like VMs, containers, Kubernetes, serverless.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or GO.
• Background in ethical hacking and penetration testing methodologies.
