The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be hybrid office-based from Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, or the UK. Join our Finance, Strategy, & Legal team to investigate problems, define solutions, and guide decisions as Personio’s co-pilots.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

1. Act as a legal business partner for Product and Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle to proactively identify legal issues and provide practical advice.
2. Manage Personio’s day-to-day product queries, ensuring scalable advice through FAQs, guidelines, and training materials.
3. Advise on marketing and advertising laws in key countries to ensure legal compliance when launching products or features.
4. Work with the Partnerships team to negotiate, draft, and advise on new partnerships.
5. Support Personio’s brand by advising on intellectual property matters.
6. Apply your knowledge of EU and UK privacy laws to identify privacy risks and embed a ‘privacy by design’ approach.
7. Stay informed on emerging legal trends and provide training and education to stakeholders.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

1. Qualified lawyer with at least 7 years’ experience in product counselling, privacy, and technology.
2. Advanced legal knowledge in technology legal issues including intellectual property, privacy, and compliance in the EU and UK.
3. Ability to analyze complex legal issues independently and evaluate risks.
4. Experience managing projects/multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proficiency with legal tools like Jira, GSuite, and others.
6. Strong ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; German or other European languages are a plus.
