What we are looking for:

We seek an experienced Backend Engineer proficient in Rust to help us build, extend, and deploy scalable, robust backend services serving millions of users in real-time. You will develop APIs for our Customer Web Console and the AnyDesk Client, taking ownership of projects and contributing to our architectural foundation.

• Develop and improve real-time backend services with millions of users
• Create simple applications and APIs to meet critical business needs
• Collaborate with client development on new features
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve software quality

Basic Qualifications:

• Excellent listening, reasoning, follow-through, and communication skills in English
• Strong skills in Rust or a solid background in C++/C/Go with motivation to learn Rust
• Proven experience in creating and deploying applications at scale
• Experience with architectural planning using SQL and NoSQL databases, messaging services, proxies, etc.
• Experience in creating and maintaining REST or gRPC APIs
• Understanding trade-offs of different database solutions
• Advanced skills in at least one high-level language, preferably TypeScript/JavaScript
• Good knowledge of Linux systems and server maintenance
• Conceptual focus, problem-solving skills, and a future-oriented mindset
• Creativeness, technical comprehension, and a passion for learning
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Basic skills in React or other frontend frameworks
• Experience with deployment methods like containers and bare metal
• Experience in debugging, profiling, and maintaining production applications
