Oversee and coordinate the interdisciplinary development of offshore converter platforms, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering teams.
- Close collaboration between structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines to ensure efficient project execution.
- Integration of mechanical and electrical systems in 3D models of offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Facilitate technical reviews, design validation meetings, and project coordination discussions.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Identify and address design conflicts, providing technical clarifications to suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Implement and refine design guidelines and best practices for offshore platforms to improve efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in offshore or plant engineering, with a strong background in interdisciplinary coordination.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cadmatic, CATIA, E3D) and PLM/PDM systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and offshore design guidelines (a plus).
- Experience in 3D modeling and collision detection.
- Strong organizational skills, structured and solution-oriented work approach, and excellent communication abilities.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); German skills are a plus.
