Qualifikationen

• 3+ Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Straßenfracht erforderlich.

I am looking for a Freight Buyer Europe for a Tier 1 automotive supplier in Lippstadt, Germany. They follow a hybrid model where you have the flexibility to work 50% of the time from home (the way you complete that 50% is up to you!). They are particularly looking for someone with a focus on road freight (FTL, LTL etc).

What you will do:

1. Support in setting up central freight purchasing at the company
2. Active participation in the analysis and introduction of state-of-the-art processes and tools
3. Preparation and implementation of group-wide freight tenders (RFQs, inbound-outbound logistics) and the associated nominations
4. Tracking of action plans and goals (savings potential, CSR, satisfaction indicators, etc.)
5. Identification and evaluation of potentials and implementation of the changes to be derived from them
6. Participation in international working groups
7. Conception and implementation of innovative logistics concepts, e.g. in the field of transport and network optimization
8. Intensification of the relationship with the most important internal stakeholders
9. Close cooperation with those responsible for purchasing in the regions and divisions
10. Intensive benchmarking of the market and the players to identify new ideas and solutions

Requirements:

1. German speaking
2. 3+ years experience in road freight
3. Proactive, enthusiastic and independent way of working
4. Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
5. Safe handling of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as SAP knowledge
6. Occasional willingness to travel
