NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is actively recruiting a GIS Analyst who possesses sound expertise in geospatial technologies and analytic methodologies. The analyst must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills. The Analyst must work well in team environments. The analyst will provide support for the collection, production, analysis, dissemination, and maintenance of consistent and accurate geospatial data and products, including GIS and Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).

Employment requirements:

• European Union citizenship (preferred), US citizenship, or a German work permit, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases.

Location and travel:

• Primary office work at DPW in Grafenwöhr and Hohenfels, Germany.
• Field work at all USAG Bavaria sites.
• Travel less than 30% of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Support MPD, map production, analysis, and maintain Army GIS data standards.
• Input data into GIS and mapping systems, interpret maps, record drawings, and prepare visual data representations.
• Implement QCP and SDSFIE standards.
• Communicate progress and issues effectively to clients and engage with local staff.
• Prepare accurate deliverables for clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, surveying engineering, forestry, earth science, or related fields.
• Ability to pass US DOD background check.
• Ability to travel locally within Bavaria for fieldwork.
• Experience with Esri ArcGIS software.
• Knowledge of GIS and computerized mapping systems.
• At least 2 years of GIS experience.
• Understanding of field data collection techniques.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Advanced degrees in relevant fields.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro.
• Strong understanding of GIS, CADD, and database technologies.
