Concept Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Mission

We are looking for a Concept Engineer (m/f/d) with the ambition to develop the best automation solutions, helping RobCo become Europe's leading automation solutions provider for SMBs. With funding of over €50 million from renowned VCs such as Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed, as well as top-tier business angels like Daniel Dines and Torsten Reil, we are well-positioned to realize our vision.

• Product Development: You will be responsible for developing automation solutions using our modular robots and user-friendly no-code programming environment.
• Customer Focus: You understand our customers' requirements and translate them into simple and robust solutions.
• Customer Interaction: You will prepare and conduct design reviews with customers and technical experts.
• Documentation: You will create system documentation, operating manuals, and test protocols.
• Customer Support: You will assist in setting up automation systems at the customer’s site, including training and final approvals.
• Technological Innovation: You will actively contribute to improving our robotics technology through close collaboration with our hardware and software teams.
• Design Work: You will create custom parts and drawings using CAD software.
• Manufacturing: You will be responsible for 3D printing the components you have developed.

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed a degree focused on automation technology, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or a similar field/qualification.
• You bring several years of experience in developing automation solutions or mechanical designs.
• You take a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, considering existing standards or initiating new guidelines.
• You possess knowledge in design using CAD software.
• You have a structured working style and document knowledge clearly and understandably.
• You are able to reflect on feedback and implement concrete improvements.
• The success of our customers motivates you, and you strive to contribute to it.
• You enjoy collaborating with other functions, such as sales and supply chain.
• You have good German and English language skills.
