Job Title: Contract Manager

Wärtsilä, a world leader in marine technology, is seeking a dedicated Contract Manager to join our team, contributing to a sustainable future. This permanent position offers flexibility in location, with preferred sites in The Netherlands (Schiedam, Hattem, or Drunen) and possible location in Hamburg, Germany.

What You Will Be Doing

You will lead and manage long-term maintenance agreement activities primarily within The Netherlands, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving quality, financial, cost, and time targets. The role requires a customer, business, and service-oriented mindset, with excellent leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills. You should be outgoing, cooperative, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned maintenance agreements
• Proactively communicate with customers
• Lead and coach the Agreement Contract core team
• Manage contract activities internally and externally, ensuring safety and efficiency
• Ensure customer satisfaction and follow up on actions
• Monitor financial, operational, and technical performance, implementing corrective actions as needed

Qualifications

• Background in technical or commercial fields
• At least five years' experience in contract management, sales, project delivery, or field service
• Native Dutch speaker with excellent English skills
• Technical experience in marine operations and internal combustion engines
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Skilled in planning, target setting, and reporting
• Knowledge of contract management and processes
