Tasks

As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. You independently review, draft and negotiate contracts of all kinds worldwide in cooperation with sales, finance, purchasing and specialist departments as a representative of the legal department
  2. You advise and support executive management and business units in legal matters (except tax & labor law; construction law, insolvency law, corporate law) and present legal issues at board level and in management committees
  3. You represent the company's interests worldwide, conduct negotiations and legal proceedings and coordinate with external lawyers
  4. You create and monitor guidelines and processes to promote business interests, minimize risks and optimize costs
  5. You monitor and analyze legislative changes and case law, develop measures and implement them with specialist departments

Requirements

We would be delighted if you meet the following requirements:

  • Completed university degree in law, preferably a fully qualified lawyer with above-average exam results
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as in a law firm or in-house
  • Sound knowledge of contract law, preferably acquired in practice
  • Very good knowledge/understanding of technical and business fundamentals and interrelationships
  • Fluent in business English, further foreign language skills desirable
  • Good IT skills, very good knowledge of word processing and strong contract drafting skills
  • Willingness to undertake business trips both within the country and abroad
