We are 3D Spark, an award-winning software startup from Hamburg. Founded by three former scientists of the renowned Fraunhofer society, our goal is to maximize the efficiency of industrial manufacturing. Our software automatically identifies and quantifies potential cost and resource savings in manufacturing, especially through the application of 3D printing technologies. This enables industrial companies to make their production more cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable.

How You Can Work At 3D Spark

• Working student (>15h/w)
• Internship (>6 months)
• Thesis (in combination with working student or internship)

What You Will Be Working On

• You will join the product development team to develop new ML algorithms and concepts aimed at enhancing existing features or creating new ones for the 3D Spark Part Screening Platform.
• These algorithms are trained on 3D CAD data, 2D data such as images and vector files (technical drawings and other 2D documents), usage statistics, etc.
• AI applications include customizing software models to specific customer properties and continuously improving the analysis quality of the platform.
• You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own projects from the start.
• You will work closely with product owners to develop market-relevant software solutions.
• You will collaborate within an ambitious team of top developers working on an industrially relevant product.

What You Bring Along

You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.

You have a strong interest in ML and preferably some experience, but this is not mandatory.

You are comfortable working in agile environments.
