Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a master student in the field of Future Programmes - Space Systems (d/f/m) to support their Future Programmes department. The thesis focuses on the optimization of tracking algorithms for space-based detection of hypersonic flight vehicles.

Start date: 01.10.2024

The project involves investigating satellite missions that use optical measurements for real-time trajectory estimation of space objects, including hypersonic vehicles in the endo- and exo-atmospheric regions. The work includes extending and optimizing existing simulation environments and algorithms.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Gain insights into space-based target detection and tracking using simulation software.

  • Fluent in English and/or German.
