ECOLOGY MANAGER

Working within the Offshore Wind Development Team and reporting to Head of Development, the Ecology Manager will be responsible for providing expert input to projects managing especially environmental contractors and support managing stakeholders, project consents and national/ international policy development with a focus on German and European projects.

Key Responsabilities

• To provide technical (environmental) support to the Head of Development and Project Managers as directed to enable consent, build and operation of offshore assets.
• Managing contracts and contractors with predominantly environmental focus and apply knowledge and understanding of the marine environment for planning and execution environmental survey works and Environmental Impact Assessments.
• Review and implement measures to maximise consenting success
• Support applications, delivery of licences and consents for offshore projects in alignment with the responsible Project Managers.
• Apply knowledge and understanding of environmental, ecological and planning legislation and local regulations (Germany and other countries).
• Maintain co-ordination of environmental interest of development-construction-operations, particularly monitoring and feedback
• Support on responses to public consultations in alignment with project teams in liaison with relevant Engineering, Policy and Regulation, and Stakeholder teams.
