Could you be the full-time Ecodesign, Fire & Smoke Engineer (f/m/d) in Siegen we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

Our Siegen site is an international competence center for bogies. 800 colleagues develop, manufacture, test, and repair bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Guido Boltem and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We’ll look for you to:

• Validate requirements (legal and customer)
• Define project specific requirements and distribute in ENG.
• Add requirements to the parts (G-Remark) – support
• Create a list of all Fire & Smoke relevant parts – support
• Validate Certificates – support
• Upload Certificates in MaDaM (when available) – support
• Create FCIL – support for projects and platforms
• Create list per project of all parts with invalid certificates and send to Q - support
• Create list per project of all parts with a certificate validity of less than 1 month and send to Proc. – support
• Provide training for all relevant Metiers on Fire Safety Standards and Specifications
• Drive and sharpen the EN45545-2 implementation strategy (for RTM parts). Strong interface with experts (Suspension)
• Support on definition of test samples, also related to “end-use” condition testing
• Contribute to standardization groups – at least internally within Alstom (to influence future standards)
• Ecodesign activities on Tenders & Projects. On Time Delivery and Customer satisfaction
• Ecodesign product performance reported in Ecodesign dashboard
• Fire & Smoke project planning
• Inputs for Project Safety Design Reviews - on time and documented.
