Responsibilities:

  • Represent the interests of Vibracoustic for the Commodity group Metals / Electromechanics, Electronic Components, and PCBa in the EU region.
  • Perform market analysis of indices, technologies, suppliers’ financial risks, and provide information to internal stakeholders.
  • Research and scout supply markets for a given commodity in cost-effective countries and lead onboarding according to automotive requirements.
  • Prepare and implement regional commodity strategies in alignment with the global commodity manager, define and maintain supplier portfolios, and actively drive the strategy throughout the region.
  • Achieve material cost savings targets through negotiation, directing new/existing business awards, and supporting VA/VE activities.
  • Negotiate annual contracts and agreements with suppliers, including delivery and payment terms/Incoterms.
  • Report on purchasing performance results and set up ERP systems for pricing, surcharges, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Profound experience in purchasing/commodity buying, especially in the automotive sector.
  • Degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related fields is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of purchasing and automotive processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel and network, preferably with suppliers.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and proficient in German.
