Your responsibilities
- Serve as strategic business partner in procurement (m/f/d) for Uniper's three operational divisions: 'Steam' (coal and biomass power plants), 'Gas' (gas power plants), and 'Storage' (gas and hydrogen storage facilities).
- Engage with stakeholders across relevant countries to understand business needs and incorporate these into procurement strategies, supplier management, and demand planning.
- Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies in collaboration with division leaders.
- Drive initiatives and projects aligning procurement services and strategic supplier relationship management with business objectives.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, including developing supplier engagement plans, identifying new suppliers, fostering supplier innovations, and segmenting suppliers.
- Handle all aspects of strategic tenders, including procurement and bidding strategies, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Act as the central procurement interface for new projects such as Clean Dispatchable Power (CDP) and H2 storage facilities.
Your profile
- Educational background in economics, engineering, business administration, or comparable professional experience.
- At least 5 years of procurement and/or energy industry experience, with proven success in managing large procurement projects and tenders, especially for general contractor projects.
- Technical knowledge of the services and products procured is advantageous.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders, requirements, and interfaces across business units.
- Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into procurement requirements and identify potential suppliers.
- Decisiveness and the ability to escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Experience working in an international environment, willingness to travel, and interest in visiting European locations.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, team-oriented, with a good sense of humor.
