HZB’s department Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells develops metal halide perovskite solar cells and has achieved several world record efficiencies for perovskite-silicon (32.5%) and perovskite-CIGS (24.2%) tandem solar cells. We use advanced characterization to determine fundamental properties of perovskite and contact layers, as well as their interfaces. We are seeking a motivated scientist (postdoc) with experience in photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) and related analytical methods, interested in materials research for photovoltaics and renewable energies.
You will work with a state-of-the-art UHV PES setup, analyzing electronic and chemical properties of perovskite films and contact layers. You will utilize our unique CFSYS technique to probe band edges, gap states, and band offsets, contributing to understanding and improving perovskite-based solar cells. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, your work will directly impact the development of advanced photovoltaic materials.
Contract duration: 24 months. Salary based on collective agreement.
