Our Baker Hughes downstream chemicals team is a key supplier to the refining and petrochemical industry worldwide. To support the expansion of the business in the (South) Germany region, we are looking to strengthen our team with a Service Sales Engineer role. You will provide support and consultancy services for our client refinery engineers on site related to Baker Hughes product line in Germany.
Partner with the bestAs a Service Sales Engineer (d/f/m), you will focus on meeting and exceeding our customer's expectations, while seeking new business opportunities to drive growth at sustainable financial performance.
As a Service Sales Engineer (d/f/m), you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring sustainable relationships and financial returns and identifying and exploiting new opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Identifying and pursuing new opportunities with new and existing customers in Germany.
- Managing the chemical supply chain, stockpiling, sampling, testing, analyzing and processing, reporting, as appropriate.
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with our customers, and being the interface with relevant functions and services.
- Coordinating laboratory work scopes and providing technical assistance to support customer accounts.
- Taking ownership for the HSE of the project and ensuring full compliance with all company standards.
- Maintaining, developing and reporting improvement programs and managing tenders, technical requests, projects, and chemical tests.
Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:
- Have successfully completed your studies in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience in a similar environment.
- Have experience in working in chemical production and/or oil refineries as well as in a laboratory environment.
- Have experience of working with HSE and QA standards and practices, knowledge of HSE and general responsibilities within a chemical environment.
- Have knowledge of various chemical testing methods, industrial processes and quality standards required within a chemical environment.
- Have the ability to manage technical projects, chemical trials as well as chemical supplies.
- Have experience in supporting customer accounts and coordinating industrial activities, scheduling and forecasting.
- Be experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and holding a driver's license.
- Have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English and German, and demonstrate a deep interest in working in a diverse environment.
