Founded in 2018, we are now looking for a Finance & Controlling Manager in Berlin to support our journey!

You will take ownership of Sharpist's financial operations, including accounting, controlling, and financial analysis. As the key point of contact for all accountancy, bookkeeping, and tax topics, you will ensure our financial health by implementing timely, accurate, and optimized accounting processes. This includes diligent financial reporting (BWA, P&L), forecasting, and recurring revenue reporting (FP&A), as well as managing both incoming and outgoing invoices.

In this role, you will be someone who can maintain calm under pressure, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to match the pace and expectations of the CEO and the whole team. You will also be pragmatic in interpreting and applying legal requirements.

• Lead with Relentless Drive: Take charge of the accounting and finance processes & team with vision and grit. Set standards and instill a culture where extreme diligence is the baseline, not the ceiling.

• Master the Numbers: Own the P&L down to the last detail. You catch errors before they happen and drive accuracy like your life depends on it.

• Architect Financial Processes: Design and refine systems that not only scale but are bulletproof in execution. No excuses, no compromises.

• Deliver Relentless Execution: Meet challenges head-on and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You see it through—every time.

Primary Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in finance, controlling, or accounting, ideally in an international or startup environment.

• Strong knowledge of the German tax system & financial statement preparation according to HGB.

• Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and DATEV.

• Fluent German and good English skills (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completed studies in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a related field or comparable qualification.

• Experience with CRMs (HubSpot) and invoice systems.

• Leadership experience is a plus.
