The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for providing accurate, timely, complete, and independent reporting of DWS’s financial position to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the CFO defines the strategic agenda, including resource allocation, drives the delivery of DWS’s strategic objectives, and evaluates and monitors DWS’s performance to inform decision-making.

Divisional Control Oversight (DCO) ensures a robust control foundation for the DWS CFO by maintaining the integrity of financial and regulatory reporting, procurement, and risk management activities. DCO provides thought leadership and independent challenge across the control environment, partnering with stakeholders within DWS CFO and the wider organization to implement relevant control frameworks supporting core reporting processes.

As a Business Control Officer, you will :

1. Perform validation and approval of control findings throughout their lifecycle, including raising Self-Identified Issues and closing findings.
2. Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of the DWS control framework.
3. Promote a proactive and transparent control mindset across DWS CFO through training and communication.
4. Assist DCO with ad-hoc tasks such as control meeting preparation and documentation.
5. Provide monthly reports on key control metrics and issues.
6. Conduct control deep dives and testing in focus areas.
7. Serve as a key contact and subject matter expert on DWS CFO control topics.

We are looking for :

1. A university degree or equivalent qualification.
2. Controls experience in finance, audit, risk, procurement, or related areas. An accounting qualification is advantageous but not mandatory depending on experience.
3. Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple deliverables.
4. Strong management and relationship-building skills.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for all organizational levels.
6. Ability to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements.
7. Ability to work effectively in a global organization across multiple locations.
8. Capability to deliver accurate information under pressure.
9. Enthusiastic, results-oriented, with a proven track record of delivering results.
