Responsibilities

1. Overseeing the establishment and ongoing development of a Security Operations Center (SOC)
2. Incident Response
3. Planning and implementing preventative measures to mitigate cyber attacks
4. Conducting analysis and evaluation of security incidents using central security platforms (threat hunting)
5. Monitoring and detecting attacks or abnormalities in system behaviour, initiating suitable countermeasures as needed
6. Developing strategies for containing and defending against cyber threats
7. Consulting customers on your findings

Location

This role is remote from anywhere in Germany.

Essential Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in defensive security
• Professional experience working as a security analyst
• Incident response experience
• Strong knowledge of SIEM tools
• Minimum C1 level German or above with a good knowledge of English

Desirable Skills

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
• Relevant certifications from entities such as GIAC and SANS
