Research Associate for Secure Software Engineering, Darmstadt

The National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE, a collaboration between the Fraunhofer Society, TU Darmstadt, and Hochschule Darmstadt, is seeking a Research Associate in Secure Software Engineering. Fraunhofer SIT, a leading IT security research institution in Germany and Europe, focuses on applied research to develop innovative security solutions.

What you will do

Research automated methods for vulnerability detection and verification, work on diverse projects in research and industry, publish scientific findings, and apply research results in real-world scenarios.

What you bring to the table
  • A university degree in computer science, IT security, or related field
  • Knowledge of IT security and software security
  • Proficiency in Java and/or C/C++, including software development and debugging skills
  • Experience in static and dynamic program analysis is advantageous
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
