Responsibilities

1. Build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with the Bundeswehr, focusing on the BMVg, PlgABw, and the German Navy.
2. Acquire contracts and projects, focusing on the German Navy, proactively identifying customer needs in the naval forces sector, and managing business development activities accordingly.
3. Participate actively in networks of relevant associations and institutions (e.g., BDI, BDLi, BDSV, Bundeswehr, NATO).
4. Inform and advise sales management on strategic and operational issues.
5. Monitor service delivery and milestone achievement, initiating corrective actions in a timely manner for large projects with customer relevance.

Requirements

• Military background as a naval officer with operational experience in the navy.
• Successfully completed degree, ideally with a focus on economics or engineering sciences.
• Confident in engaging with military and civilian leadership contacts.
• In-depth knowledge of the structures and workflows within the Bundeswehr procurement sector is advantageous.
• Excellent German language skills and business-fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
• High willingness to travel within Germany.
• Must pass security clearance by the BMWi.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, and implementation skills with a strong customer focus.
