Community Engagement Manager (w/m/d), Frankfurt

The DE-CIX Internet Exchange in Frankfurt is one of the largest globally.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and charismatic Community Engagement Manager (w/m/d) to represent DE-CIX's interests within the interconnection industry and at international technical meetings.

Responsibilities

1. Represent DE-CIX at major technical congresses such as RIPE, Euro-IX, and regional NOGs through presentations and networking to expand our industry presence and visibility within the Peering and Interconnection community.
2. Enhance DE-CIX's reputation through strategic relationship building and by fostering thought leadership in interconnection & peering.
3. Act as a public advocate for DE-CIX's values and technological advancements, forging partnerships with tech companies, educational institutions, and industry groups to promote shared goals and best practices related to internet connectivity and network infrastructure.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in the interconnection industry, with excellent networking skills and a solid technical understanding, preferably with an academic background.
• Proven experience in community engagement within the technology sector, strong public speaking skills, and the ability to effectively present complex information in at least two languages (English, German/Spanish).
• Willingness to travel, leadership skills to guide stakeholders to joint success, and experience in managing projects, teams, and self.
