Job Opportunity: Senior Software Engineer, Automation Engineering (m/w/d)

MED-EL, a leading manufacturer of innovative medical devices for treating various types of hearing loss, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Automation Engineering for our Manufacturing Engineering department in Innsbruck, Austria. With a broad product portfolio serving children and adults in over 140 countries, and more than 2900 employees worldwide, we are committed to advancing hearing solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement innovative communication systems to control production equipment.
2. Design and optimize database structures to model process logic.
3. Establish optimized database frontends for different user groups.
4. Support the further development of SCADA systems.
5. Implement interfaces between production machines and SCADA systems (OPC-UA and SECS/GEM).

Qualifications

• HTL diploma or higher (university, FH) in computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related field, with several years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Experience with SQL databases and C# programming is desirable.
• Experience with Visual Studio; knowledge of interface implementation using OPC-UA and SECS/GEM is advantageous.
• Experience in automation is a plus.

Salary

The minimum gross annual salary according to collective agreement is €46,781, with the actual salary depending on qualifications and experience.
