Jobbeschreibung

We have a great opportunity for you to join our European MES Project Team as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Lead Engineer. You can be located anywhere in Europe.

You will work primarily in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, providing leadership to the project team and mentoring key resources. Your key focus will be on creating a vision for MES using Emerson’s Syncade solution and articulating that vision to both the customer and the project team. Success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and personal credibility with customers are essential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assess customer processes, installations, infrastructure, work processes, IT systems, interfaces to other systems (ERP, LIMS, etc.), and automation layers to identify business opportunities for the Syncade solution.
  2. Collaborate with the customer to map current and future business processes, set strategic vision, define requirements, and identify operational improvements based on site assessments, quantifying expected benefits.
  3. Perform high-level business and technical analyses such as value-stream mapping, requirements definition, validation planning, and gap analyses based on user requirements.
  4. Assess and advise on technical and commercial risks during MES project pursuits, ensuring risks are addressed during sales and execution phases to ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Support the project delivery phase by providing high-level support and consultancy to technical leads, mentoring team members, and attending significant customer meetings.
  6. Maintain industry expertise and MES knowledge leadership by working with domain experts and industry solution groups to develop value-adding consulting solutions.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships as a trusted advisor with customers at the executive level, contributing to architecture and design reviews.
  8. Prepare and deliver presentations for clients in their language and in an accessible manner for non-technical audiences, and support customer presentations at events.
  9. Provide feedback to technology and marketing teams and offer mentorship to the Syncade sales team during large international pursuits.
Candidate Profile:

You are a self-motivated, ambitious leader who acts with integrity and is passionate about making an impact. You push your team towards new goals, question the status quo, and propose creative solutions.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, including business process mapping, requirements analysis, scope definition, and software solution implementation.
  • Proven experience with data integration, server hardware, networks, ERP systems (SAP preferred), project management, and technical leadership.
  • Knowledge of biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, operational workflows, and batch records.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel within Europe up to 50%, including short and long-term assignments at customer sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in regulated environments, with knowledge of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation requirements.
  • Strong customer interfacing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
What We Offer:

We value work-life balance and support our employees' personal and professional growth. Our benefits include competitive plans, comprehensive medical care, and opportunities for development. Our flexible work-from-home policy allows you to combine remote work with in-office collaboration.

Additionally, our global volunteer employee resource groups foster community, diversity, and inclusion, enabling you to connect with peers and contribute positively to society.
