We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist (NLP) - Logistics, Service to join our team in creating outstanding customer service products using NLP, machine learning, and generative AI.

You will be part of the Service Data Science squad, focusing on automating and optimizing customer interactions to ensure high-quality experiences that scale with our business. Our team connects research with practical solutions, deploying models into production, supported by ML Engineers who develop reusable tooling. We work closely with product teams to align our efforts with organizational needs.

Your mission:

• Develop appropriate modeling approaches for Customer Service challenges, collaborating with your squad lead and stakeholders, leveraging cutting-edge research.
• Build end-to-end solutions from research and prototyping to deployment, including data collection, cross-team collaboration, product development, experimentation, and monitoring.
• Contribute to a fast-moving global tech organization and make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in industry or academia.
• Proven ability to apply machine learning or statistical methods to real-world datasets and deliver production solutions.
• Knowledge of classical NLP and NLU tasks such as text classification, summarization, translation, NER, and speech-to-text.
• Experience with libraries like Hugging Face Transformers, SpaCy, PyTorch, JAX, and generative AI tools like LangChain or similar. Familiarity with models like transformers, VAE, GANs, retrieval-augmented generation, and finetuning methods such as LoRA.
• Fluent in Python and familiar with scientific libraries; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong understanding of A/B testing and experience designing and analyzing experiments.
• Proficiency with software engineering tools including Git, Docker, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, CI/CD, and pipeline tools like Metaflow.
• Ability to write maintainable, best-practice code.
